Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 10, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Bagem ("Bagem," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you use our website and services (the "Service").

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Account Information

  • If you sign in with Steam, we receive your Steam ID (SteamID64), display name, and public avatar via Steam's OpenID login. We do not receive your Steam password or private account details.
  • If you register with email, we collect your email address and a securely hashed password (we never store your password in plain text).

1.2 Portfolio Data

Items you add to your portfolio, including item names, purchase prices, quantities, and purchase dates. This data is used solely to power the Service's calculations and is tied to your account.

1.3 Payment Data

If you subscribe to Pro via card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, or PayPal, your payment details are collected and processed by Paddle, our payment provider and merchant of record. We do not receive or store full card numbers. We do receive limited transaction metadata from Paddle (such as subscription status and renewal dates) to manage your account access.

If you pay via manual skin trade, we record the trade details you submit (trade offer ID, estimated value, requested period) to process your request. We do not automatically access your Steam inventory or trading history beyond what you submit.

1.4 Usage Data

We automatically collect limited technical data such as IP address, browser type, device information, and pages visited, for security, debugging, and service improvement purposes.

2. How We Use Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, maintain, and improve the Service;
  • Authenticate you and secure your account;
  • Calculate portfolio value, profit/loss, and price comparisons;
  • Process subscription payments and manage your subscription tier;
  • Communicate with you about your account or the Service;
  • Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and violations of our Terms of Service;
  • Comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

3. Third-Party Services

To provide price data, the Service queries third-party marketplaces (including the Steam Community Market, CSFloat, and Skinport) using their public or licensed APIs. These requests do not include your personal account information — only the item name being priced.

Your subscription payments are processed by Paddle.com Market Limited, which acts as the merchant of record. Paddle's use of your data is governed by Paddle's own privacy policy, available at paddle.com.

If you use an optional AI-assisted portfolio import feature, the text or file you submit may be sent to a third-party AI provider (such as Anthropic) solely to extract structured item data. This content is used only to process your import request and is not used to train third-party models beyond the provider's standard API terms.

4. Cookies

We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and remember your preferences (such as language and currency). We do not use third-party advertising cookies.

5. Data Retention

We retain your account and portfolio data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal data within a reasonable period, except where we are required to retain certain records (for example, payment records) for legal, tax, or accounting purposes.

6. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. You can manage most of your data directly from your account settings, or contact us at the email below to make a request.

7. Data Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including hashed passwords, signed session cookies, and encrypted connections. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. International Users

Bagem serves users globally. By using the Service, you understand that your information may be processed in countries other than your own, which may have different data protection laws than your country of residence.

9. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via the Service or by email. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
